Guest Post nº 12

It was another nice weekend – this time in Germany.
Susie Wolff was again on track for Free Practice One and things went quite ok for her, finishing in 15th place just 0.227 seconds behind Massa in 11th.

In qualifying, Hamilton hit the wall hard in the ‘Stadium’ section and found himself relegated to 20th place on the grid after having a gearbox change.

The race started with an accident between Magnussen and Massa which also affected Ricciardo. Massa was forced to retire and the safety car made its appearance.

The race had numerous overtakes, battles and incidents (Kvyat had the shock of the day after his Toro Rosso went up in flames).

Rosberg won at home for the first time with no major problems. Bottas is in really good form after finishing in 2nd place (his third consecutive podium). Hamilton made a remarkable recovery as he finished in 3rd. The Red Bull drivers were fourth with Vettel and sixth with Ricciardo. Alonso was fifth and this definitely isn’t Räikkönen’s year: 11th place after a race full of “small problems”. The remaining points went to Force India (Hülkenberg 7th and Perez 10th) and McLaren (Button 8th and Magnussen 9th).

Where’s the Grand Prix next weekend? Hungary!
