It was victory No.50 for Hamilton after pole No.58 at the US GP, followed by his teammate Rosberg. Ricciardo was 3rd, Vettel 4th, Alonso 5th, Sainz 6th (his first points since Hungary), Massa 7th, Pérez 8th, Button 9th and Grosjean 10th (the French completed his race number 100 and returned to points – something that had not happened since the Austrian GP).
A nice race, where the so-called ” Verstappen rule” was introduced, i.e. “Any change of direction under braking which results in another driver having to take evasive action will be considered abnormal and hence potentially dangerous to other drivers” read a statement issued by F1′s governing body at the US GP. “Any such move will be reported to the stewards”. This regulation change comes after a series of controversial “moves” by the Dutch driver.
It wasn´t Verstappen`s day: First, he entered the pits to change tyres when no one was expecting him, and a few laps later he was forced to retire with mechanical problems, which led to the Virtual Safety Car to be deployed.

Räikkönen was involved in the strangest moment of the day: On Lap 39, Raikkonen stopped for a tyre change, but there was a delay with the wheel gun on the right rear. His car was released with the gun still attached and the wheel not properly fastened. When the Finn realized the problem he decided to reverse back into the pits, parking his car and retiring from the race.
Hülkenberg (after a collision with Bottas on Lap 1) and Gutierrez (problems with his brakes) also did not finish.
Alonso had the best moments of the race, first fighting with Massa and then with his compatriot Sainz.
Next week, we will be at the Mexican GP. Rosberg could secure the title if he wins and Hamilton doesn’t score (very unlikely: It happened only once: Australia in 2014).
