This is not a post about the poem by John Donne, or about the book by Ernest Hemingway, or about Metallica´s song, but about writing and reading.
Foremost writing is a solitary exercise where someone intends to communicate something (a story, a blog post, a poem, a book …) to others. And reading? It’s another lonely exercise – Someone has to “spend” his time with what someone else wrote.
Believe that writing is easy, just pick up a paper and a pencil and look around: A fly on the wall , a car passing by, the next door neighbor who crosses the street … The hard part often consists of “doing” the “match” between who writes about “subject A” and who wants to read about it . The writer needs to find its audience and the reader to find his “supplier” on a certain issue.
What is the recipe? There is no magic formula, each one will have to find his own. Does the story ends here? No, there are even more complex challenges: To convince the reader of “subjects B or C”, to read what I write about “subject A”.
And as a writer should I write about “subjects B or C”? … Why not, because writing is easy and quoting Donne once again

Este não é um post sobre o poema de John Donne, nem sobre o livro de Ernest Hemingway, nem tão pouco sobre a canção dos Metallica, mas sim sobre a escrita e a leitura.
Escrever é acima de tudo um exercício solitário onde alguém se propõe comunicar alguma coisa (seja uma notícia, um post, um poema, um livro...). E ler? É outro exercício solitário - Alguém tem que "gastar" o seu tempo com aquilo que alguém escreveu.
Acreditem que escrever é fácil, basta pegar num papel e num lápis e olhar em volta: A mosca que está pousada na janela, o carro que passa na estrada, o vizinho do lado que atravessa a rua...
O difícil muitas vezes consiste em fazer o "match" entre quem escreve sobre o assunto "A" e quem quer ler sobre esse assunto . O escritor necessita de encontrar o seu público e o leitor encontrar o seu "fornecedor" desse tema. Qual a receita? Não existe nenhuma fórmula mágica, cada um terá que encontrar a sua.
A história acaba aqui? Não, existem desafios ainda mais complexos: Tornar o leitor dos assuntos B,C, ... meu leitor. E eu enquanto escritor deverei escrever sobre B,C ?... Porque não, até porque escrever é fácil e citando novamente Donne
