20 years after a painful weekend, where Ratzenberger and Senna lost their lives, the misfortune has returned to F1, on lap 43 of the Japanese GP. On the day that the former driver Andrea de Cesaris died being the victim of a motorcycle accident, Jules Bianchi also smashed into the vehicle that was recovering the car of Adrian Sutil, who had crashed out on the lap previously. The French driver is fighting for his life after “severe head injuries”.
The safety car was again on track, and on lap 44 the red flag came out again and ended the race (it was supposed to be 53 laps).

The race had begun with terrible weather conditions with the safety car on track. On lap 3 the red flag was shown and when the drivers returned, once again the safety car was on track, and remained until lap 10.
It was the 8th “one-two”for Mercedes (Hamilton followed by Rosberg, after a fantastic overtake on lap 29), followed by the Red Bull drivers of Vettel and Ricciardo. Button was 5th ahead of the Williams drivers of Bottas and Massa, Vergne, in 9th, was among the Force India drivers of Hülkenberg in 8th and Perez in 10th.
Ferrari for the first time since 11th July 2010 did not score any points.
The final results and the race itself aren’t really important after the Bianchi accident. All we want is his recovery.
Next weekend, F1 will visit Russia for the first time and we hope to have a great race without any major troubles.
