Review Of The Canadian GP by Pedro Cunha
Since 1967, the Canadian Grand Prix has been part of the F1 scene (and since that time, only in 1975, 1987 and 2009, it was not part of the calendar) and since 1978 the race has taken place on the Notre Dame Island.
Mercedes dominated the race with Hamilton in first and Rosberg in second. Bottas returned to the podium with a 3rd place (his first since the Abu Dhabi GP last year).
Massa, after a poor qualifying (15th place), has done a nice job as he reached position 6 at the end of the race, while the Ferrari team got the 4th and 5th places.
Maldonado this time didn’t make any stupid mistakes and after a final 7th position, he scored his first points since Russia last year, while his team-mate Grosjean was 10th.
Hülkenberg (7th) and Kvyat (9th) also managed to score.
It was a very interesting race where only the McLaren drivers (Alonso and Button) retired, as well as the Manor of Merhi.
Within two weeks, F1 returns to European soil in Austria.
