At night, in the desert of Bahrain – wow! what a race! – it could be a nice title for a movie …
Anyway, back to the facts: race number 900 in F1 history gave the third win of the season for Mercedes and the second for Hamilton, as well as the second “one-two”.
Can Rosberg follow in his father’s footsteps, who was world champion in 1982? In the history of F1 only the Hill´s managed to do it: Graham was champion in 1962 and 1968 and his son Damon in 1996.
An absolutely sublime race (the best of recent times) with an outstanding “fight” amongst the 2 Mercedes drivers. A true recital of driving, as well as numerous inter-team battles and the debut this season of the Safety Car, after a crash involving Maldonado and Gutierrez.

Very nice job for Force India (Perez 3rd, Hülkenberg 5th). The Red Bull finally saw their 2 drivers crossing the line, with Ricciardo ahead (!) of Vettel (4th and 6th respectively). Williams continues to give interesting indications (Massa was 7th and Bottas 8th), while Ferrari continues to disappoint (Alonso 9th and Raikkonen 10th), as well as Lotus (Grosjean 12th and 14th Maldonado) and Sauber (2nd consecutive race with its 2 pilots out).
I have to mention Jenson Button (34 years old), who today completed his run No. 250 in what is his 15th year in F1 (he won the championship in 2009). Unfortunately it was not a good day for him: he had to quit, as well as his teammate Magnussen.
After such a magnificent race (and races like this one are the reason why I love F1 so much) there´s only one thing to complain about: The “soundtrack”. As someone said, this season the engines sound like scooters…
Next weekend no F1, but after that: China!
