Caterham and Marussia, due to severe financial problems, were out of the American GP, and although Mr Ecclestone says that he isn´t worried, I guess that he should be, as we all know that other teams are facing huge problems…

Only nine teams on track (the last race with nine teams, took place in 2005, in Monaco). It was said that Force India, Sauber and Lotus would boycott the race, but fortunately this did not happen.

As for the race, it was very good: full of incidents, one accident, and a lot of great driving moments with Hamilton winning for the 10th time this year (five in a row), increasing the number of points he’s ahead of Rosberg to 24 (after the 10th “one in two” for the German team, and three in a row).

No matter what will happen next week in Brazil, it will be the last race (Abu Dhabi, 23rd November) that will reveal the successor of Vettel. Definitely “suspense” right up to the end!

The race began with an accident involving Perez, Räikkönen and Sutil, with both the Mexican and German driver forced to quit, and forcing the Safety Car into appearance.

Rosberg was “in charge” until lap 24, but Hamilton, with a great move, claimed first place and kept it until the end. Ricciardo got another podium, followed by Massa and Bottas. Alonso added 8 points for Ferrari and Vettel, following a “hard” race (He started it on the pits), finished in 7th. Magnussen was 8th, Vergne (a very combative driver – sometimes too much… – in my opinion he ruined Grosjean´s race) was 9th and Maldonado scored for the 1st time this year (since the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 28, 2013 the Venezuelan had been out of points) allowing the Lotus Team to score again (the last time was in Monaco).

So, next Week Brazil, hoping to watch a great race!
