Desde 2010 que Suzanne Vega (actualmente com 59 anos) a "menina"da voz doce e suave anda a "despir" várias das suas canções, recorrendo apenas à acústica, o que permite realçar a sua voz e a sua poesia (não tão doce e suave quanto a sua voz). Outros trabalhos serão por aqui ouvidos (já publicou 5 debaixo "do título" Close-Up) e este seu primeiro é uma delicia: 12 canções ao todo, onde a excelência da Californiana é (na minha opinião) inquestionável

Lançado em 1987 por Suzanne Vega, contempla "material" inédito produzido entre 1978 e esse ano. Um disco onde a voz de Vega "brilha", numa sonoridade que vai desde o "A Cappella" até ao Rock, passando pelo Folk e pela Pop. A poesia reflecte (essencialmente) a dor, a perda, o amor (especialmente a sua falta). Muito bom.  

Algumas Curiosidades Do Mundo Da Música XXXIV - Suzanne Vega

Nascida em 1959, começou a escrever e a tocar guitarra aos 11 anos. Estudou dança e literatura inglesa.  Iniciou a sua carreira musical em 1982, tendo publicado até hoje 8 discos de originais (o primeiro em 1985), para além de várias colaborações com outros artistas. Já vendeu mais de 8 milhões de discos, tendo obtido 7 nomeações aos Grammy´s.
