A review of the Chinese GP by Pedro Cunha
Lewis Hamilton.
For the 12th time, F1 visited the Shanghai International Circuit (for the Chinese GP) and for the first time this year, we had 20 cars on track.

4 drivers weren’t able to finish the race (Hülkenberg, Kvyat, Maldonado and Verstappen). In fact the retirement of Verstappen (on lap 54 of 56) led us to have the Safety Car appear and the race finished with it on the track which is never pleasant, especially after a nice race.
In the previous 11 years only once the man on pole managed to win the race (Hamilton in 2008).
This year Hamilton claimed the Pole (his 3rd in a row), so could he win again? The answer was yes. The English driver won it with all the credit, followed by his teammate Rosberg (the 2nd one-two for Mercedes) and although it is still too early for conclusions, in the first 3 races of the year, Hamilton always beat Rosberg (either in qualifying or in races).

Ferrari was close to Mercedes but never close enough to take the victory (Vettel was 3rd and Räikkönen was 4th).
Ferrari flags.
Williams went ok, but behind Ferrari and Mercedes (Massa was 5th and Bottas was 6th).
Grosjean scored the first six points of the year for Lotus as he was 7th and Maldonado did not score only because once again lived up to his nickname in F1, “Crashonaldo”.
Pastor Maldonado.
Sauber returned to the points with Nasr finishing in 8th and Ericsson in 10th, while Red Bull was away from the good results. Ricciardo had a bad start (he dropped 10 places, from 7th to 17th) and had to settle for a 9th place finish.
What about the rest? McLaren was a little better but the team will have to do much more to achieve points (Alonso was 12th and Button 14th).
Manor were the slowest team on track and finishing races seems to be their only objective (Stevens was 15th and Merhi 16th).
Force India and Toro Rosso saw only one of their drivers finishing the race (Pérez was 11th and Sainz was 13th).
In 8 days, F1 moves up to Bahrain and will we have some new guy on the podium? In the first 3 races Hamilton, Rosberg and Vettel have always occupied the top 3 places.
