A week after the troubled Japanese GP, F1 made its debut in Russia. With only 21 cars at the start, as the Marussia Team decided not to replace Bianchi as a sign of respect.
Jules Bianchi.
Mercedes with its 9th “one-two” of the season claimed their 1st Constructors championship, whilst Hamilton with his 9th win of the season (his fourth in a row), 31st in his career (equaling the record of Nigel Mansell) increased his lead over Rosberg to 17 points. The German made a run from “back to front”, as he was forced to pit on lap 1 to change tyres after braking too late, thus locking up both front wheels and taking to the escape road.

It was a race without problems (only Chilton and Kobayashi didn´t finish), and Bottas achieved another podium. The McLaren boys were able to do their best job since Australia (Button was 4th and Magnussen 5th).

Ferrari returned to the points with Alonso and Räikkönen in 6th and 9th, with the Red Bull drivers in the “middle” of them (Ricciardo 7th and Vettel 8th). Perez completed the top ten, in what was his 5th consecutive race scoring points.

Kvyat was the disappointment of the day: after a sensational 5th place in qualifying, the young Russian finished the race in position 14.

In the 1st weekend of November the “circus” travels to Austin (USA).
