Review of the Japanese GP by Pedro Cunha

F1 2015 Japanese GP.

In the country of the rising sun (Japan), things were quite normal: the 2nd Pole of the current season for Rosberg, and pole number 13 for Mercedes. Kvyat suffered a huge crash in qualifying (fortunately without injuries for the Russian driver).

Daniil Kyvat.

Hamilton made a perfect start (the day he equaled the number of Senna’s wins (41)), unlike Rosberg, who dropped to 4th while Massa and Ricciardo ruined their races due to a collision.

Felipe Massa.

In a race with only 1 retirement (Nasr), Mercedes claimed their 8th one-two, followed by Ferrari (Vettel was 3rd and Raikkonen 4th), Bottas was 5th, Hülkenberg 6th, the Lotus boys were 7th and 8th (Grosjean and Maldonado respectively – the Venezuelan driver returned to the points after five races out of them) and the remaining points went to Toro Rosso (Verstappen in 9th and  Sainz in 10th).

F1 2015 Japanese GP podium.
Pastor Maldonado.

Alonso (11th) had the outburst of the day as he said that his Honda engine was a “GP2 engine”  …

McLaren-Honda.

Within two weeks the “Circus” will visit Russia for the second time in the history of the sport.
